Yep, those brown curly things are fried pork rinds--and I thought you could only get them in Texas! Hiroko almost lost it when Paty urged her to try one (can you see the half-eaten pork rind on her plate, way off to the side?) Of course I (Evan) liked them. And yes, those are orange slices in the guaranã. Paty hooked me on to drinking it that way. |

Meat, fried rice, veggies, fries, guaraná--what more could you ask of a great meal? (oh yeah, how about pork rinds!) As you can see, Obaachan couldn't wait a few more seconds before taking another bite. |

The absolute best frozen treat I've had--toasted coconut popsicle from a street vendor (who was a lot older than me)--only 65 cents. |
