July 31st,
The end of thre month!!! Evan and I went to Butanta Shopping center to have lunch. I used to really like it, but I did not like it there anymore.
I got sick all afternoon. So Evan and I came back home around 4:30.
It was a cold day but not so bad.
Evan had some Brasilian stuffed bread (Chicken) for lunch and I did not like it at all. I just don't like the smells of chicken here! I have not eaten chicken for so long.
The office people are going to resort area for the meetings for three days in Nov. I do not want to go and Evan does not either. So he is using me for the excuse.
It is no use for me to go those meetings because I don't understand the language and will be stuck in the motel room for three days!.
We are talking to Jonathan tonight . Then it will be long time before we talk to him. We are not going to see him almost 2-1/2 years!!!
I really miss you guys so much and love you tons.

July 30th,
Dearest family and friends,
It was so wonderful to see everybody last night.
It was so fun but I sure wished I was there!!!
It is cold today. We had a perfect warm day yesterday and it is very cold with high humidity.
Went to the office but There were nothing to do unfortunately. Evan had to come back to the apt around 4:00 so I came back with him. I hope it will get warmer tomorrow.
I hope Gen got home safely.
I really miss and love you.
Last night we heard so many fire crackers!!! all night long.
I guess there are game going on .
I hope all is well and I love youall!!

Dearest family and friends,
I have been sick for the last few days so did not go to the church today.
Evan went to other ward to be with that girl whom he baptized few months ago and meet that boy who comes to the church but can't be baptized because of his grandpa.
We missed Jonathan's farewell talk! I sure wish we could have been there.
I just finished talking to my family and Pumkin and I started crying. Someway it is hard to talk to everybody and not be able to be there.
I am still adjusting!!! I don't think I can get used to be away from my family.
I really miss them!!!

Dearest family and friends,
Another nice day but I woke up with a bad headach so I stayed home all day.
Evan was trying to connect I phone but not successful.
He is so frastrated.
It is summer vacation time so kids are playing with roller skate board out side until really late. So It is so loud and noisy until really late.
Evan took our dull knives to the guy on the street so they are really sharp. I think he only charged $2.50 for each.
It is Saturday so we got our favorite potates.
Well that is all! What an exciting day!!!

Dearest family and friends,
Diazepam run out yesterday and since I did not take them for 2 days, I was sick all day. Just like How I used to be. Doug, I wish you were here.
We got a hold of the MD, member, and she only has 5 so she is going to bring them to us. Thank goodness.
She need to write Prescription but they were out so I have to wait.
Everything is so difficult here. I was hoping I can go without them but I guess not. I remember Doug gave me this medicine and I was feeling better right away. You are the best, Doug!!
Tomorrow morning we are taking our dull knives to the shapning guy on the street. We will see how good he is.
I hope I can start feeling better. She is going to bring them at 8:00pm.
I wanted to go to Eldorado tomorrow again but we will see. At least I have patches from Joey so Bus ride will be fine. They are miracle patch! I can even read a book while a car is moving!!!!

Dearest family and friends,
We just got back from the temple. Elder and Sister Scudden were there also.
Today I stayed home because I wanted to go to the temple.
I only do one thing a day.
The weather was perfect. Evan kept saying it is just like Hawaii. Noooooo I don't think so!
Tomorrow is Friday so I will be very busy helping Sister Scadden (PEF-Perpetual Education Fund).
Daunovia and I spent all morning picking up her wedding dress using Internet. They have LDS Wedding dress site. She is so excited!!! They are getting married on March29 next year so that we will be still here!
I can't believe that we still have 10 months left!!!

Dearest family and friends,
Did you hear the news of bus been burned by 30 bad gangs? I occured last night. It was 8:00pm and pretty close to our ward!! There were few buses attacted.
It is scarely.
Worked with Evan at the office but computer kept freezing and he was very frastrated. "I hate Micro Soft" He kept saying that!! So we didn't have anything else to do.
It was a nice warm morning but It got cold by the afternnoon.
Some people said, in Sao Paulo, you can experience 4 seasons in a day and that is true.
Last night, we saw Elder Rocha with a dog. I was holding her about 30minues. And he kept saying something but no idea what. I have been here almost 7 moths but can't say anything. Just the very basic thins.
Tomorrow we are going to the temple. Can't wait!

Dearest family and friends,
It was such a nice warm day!!!
Flowers are in full bloom all over. But not my flower at the temple yet!!! I guess flowers and trees think it is Spring! except my flowers.
It was such a short winter and I did not mind it.
Today I helped Evan closing the projects. But he was so sleepy since he took anahitomine (?) to avoid sneezing, he was so sleepy so we decided to go home around 4:00.
Then I saw sister Rocha with her dog. So I was playing with her at lease 30 minutes. During that time, Sister Rocha kept talking in Portugese and I had NOOOOO clue. But I kept agreeing whatever she said.
I twisted my back somehow and it has been so painful!
Boy I sure feel that my body is getting OLD!!!
hope tomorrow is going to be as nice as today.

Dearest family and friends,
After we came back from the church, we saw Elder Rocha with the dog in front of our building. I was so happy. She is so cute and to be able to touch and play with a real dog is such a treat!!!
Evan said why don't we get a cat but I can't. I can't say good buy to her when I leave Brasil. Beside I don't know we are allowed to have animal or not. I wish I could!!!
Evan went to visit one Sister this evening and I was sound a sleep. But I am already sleepy.
One sister in our ward went back to the State last week and got me Melatone-three boxes!!!! Gold to me.
I really miss and love you tons.

Dearest family and friends,
It was a nice Saturday. Evan and I went to Eldoradao. Still escalaters were not working!! They never work! and had Japanese lunch, Gyouza and it was not bad. Then got some more books then got candy coated macademia nuts. They were all gone by the time we are home.
Sister Rocha's daughter is visiting her with her dog from Brasiraila. So she brought me to play with her. She looks lot like Pumpkin. It was so wonderful to hold a real dog!!!
Adreana put a new shower head for us and it works so much better and I love it. Use to be it had only 20 holes but now feels like 100 holes. Finally water coveres whole body. used to be water covers 1/4 of boday so I have to keep moving around to get water!!!!
It is so much better!!!
Phone and TV are working!!!
Things are getting better.

I guess this weather is making me headache. I got ready to go to the office and at the last minutes, I had to cancel it.
Evan did not have anything for me to do so I just stayed home. It was nice that Evan came home early also.
I did go out to get my nail polish and that was the main event of the day.
Tomorrow Evan and I are going to Elforado again. We are adicted their candy rosted nuts. I get macademian and Evan gets mixed nuts with coconuts.
Everything is fine and yes, phone and TV are working. What a difference it makes!!!
Last night Adreana changed our shower head. So much better now. But I still miss OUR shower and bath tub!!!

Dearest family and friends,
Last night Christy' dog was lost for 6 hours and I was so worried about her.
So I dreamed about Pumkin missing for hours! So I was going all over the places calling her name hoping she can recognize my voice and show up. I was so sad that I could not find her!!!
Another cold cold day and it rained on and off.
I was busy helping sister and Elder scadden all afternoon. Evan was too busy to involve me with his work.
Evan went out with Elders to give another lesson to that lady and daughter. I hope he can find that place becuse he was not sure.
He sure keeps himself busy!!!! and he is loving it.
We are going to the temple tomorrow and I can't wait.

Yes, they are still working on the TV and Tel lines. But they don't like to work for long time so everythng gets back by 5:00!!
Another cold and wet day!! Evan kept saying that it will get warmer but it was still very cold today.
I did the same thing today, helping Sister Scudden, count the medical items for prenatal projects. Then worked a little bit with Evan. But he had to go to the meeting. I never go to the meeting becuase I have no idea what they are talking about!!!
I miss Summer in Sao Paulo.

It was a cold , wet day.
My legs were still hurting and I did not go to the office since Evan told me the office is very cold and there was nothing I can do today.
Our phone, internet and TV were not working for this afternoon. They are fixing the main line.
So frastrated. It is always something wrong. This is a old building so they are fixing things all the time.
It really was a cold day. I wish I brought Fur coat!!!!
They said it will be warmer tomorrow. I hope so!!!
I think this dump cold weather is affecting my leg.

Dearest Family and Friends,
It has been so cold today! Even if we buy another heater, we cannot use two heatters together.
I am fixing rice so we had to turn off the heater!!!
It was too good to believe that it has been so warm for so long!
Now it really is cold.
Went our ward and Carol took us there and Yuki drove us back.
My right legs are still very painful. I have no idea why it has been hurting.
I hope it will be warmer tomorrow!!!
I need fur coat!!!

It was a good day. Telephone is working, TV is working, almost everything except oven is working.
Evan and I went to Dldorado and I had Japanese lunch. It was good. Then went to the book store and got 2 new books then medicine for me to sleep.
I am quite tired but it was a good day.
I am trying to see good about Brazil. I really am trying.
It is early but we are going to sleep soon.
Can't wait to talk to my family tomorrow.

Dearest family and friends,
Finally winter is here! But since we were using clthes dryer, we cannot use heater. Cold day.
Went to see the mission President this afternoon. We have the greatest president. I love him so much!!
Then worked until 5:00 with Sister Scadden again. We had to be home because TV people were coming to bring new remote controller. Yes, they did bring it today!! Surprise, surprise.
And it works now. The telephone is working also.
Now we found out that our oven does not work........Can you believe it? What is next.
We think next is heater!!
Tomorrow we are going to Eldorado shopping Center again and I am going to have Japanese lunch!!!

Couple nights ago, Evan told me that in the middle of the night I turn the small lamp and went back to sleep.
Then five minutes later I woke up to turn it off. Evan said he asked me why I had light on but I did not answer. I was still sleeping.
Yesterday at the temple. in the middle of the scession ,one sister was singing. It is true!! And
Evan said he heard it also. They do talk alot during the scession also. And most of the sisters wear large danggling earrings in the temple!!!
It is so different and kind a funny.

Another beautiful weather.
As usual I helped Sis Scaddin for contravant.
She enters students payment and I have to go over that they have paid back on time.
This is a loan for studens.
We take care of all students in Brasil!!
You know how big Brasil is!!! We still have 1,000 names to go. I used to think I love office work but not anymore. I rather do casher at Walmart!!!
So she loves me when I help her. I probably have to do the same thing tomorrow.
Students names are so different and their E-mail is most amazing.

Dearest family and friends,
I had a bad Monday because Evan was gone and of course there was no phone. I hate the phone system here. Cel phone does not work well either.
I am upset that no one can help us with our phone!!!Almost more than 2 months, we have no phone!!
It is a bit cooler but a beautiful day!!
Nothing new here at work. I am waiting for Sister Scadden needs my help. She said she has about 1,000 contrbanch to do this week. That will take for ever and tidious work. But someone has to do it!!!Right?
The cane they gave me to help y right ankle really works well but holding it tight makes my right thum hurts. You just can´t win!!!It is always something wrong with me. Nice to be old!!!!

I had a bad Monday because Evan was gone and of course there was no phone. I hate the phone system here. Cel phone does not work well either.
I am upset that no one can help us with our phone!!!Almost more than 2 months, we have no phone!!
It is a bit cooler but a beautiful day!!

Dearest family and friends,
Today Evan and were supposed to go to Eldorado. But he went to the Beach with Danouvia and Adreano getting up 4:00am. No I did not go. Just thinking about driving around makes me feel sick.
So it was holiday but I did not do anything.
I really wanted to go to eat Japanese food but.... I had to give up.
Well hope all is well and have a great week!!

Dearest family and friends,
We all went to Out Back last night and as soon as I saw their black bread, I started crying. It was delicious but I missed the time I went with my family and friends and could not stop crying. Even their knives are the same and that made me cry.
We had fried onion and they were good and I ate too much and got sick.
I was still sick so could not go to the church. Evan went to other church to meet a lady who is taking a lesson but she was not there. He even took a taxi to there .
My tummy is just like Evan now.
It is our holiday tomorrow (Independence day of Sao Paulo) so we will see what we can do. Evan and I might go to Eldorado shopping mall to get some medicine. We will see!
I just want to go out with Evan and nobody else tagging along with us.
Sumou started today so Evan and I are very happy.
Well have a wonderful week!!!

Dearesr family and friends,
It was a good Saturday but quite emotional. We took Danuvia and
Adreana to "Out Back" for dinner, When they servied the same brown bread, i just lost it. I started crying. I know I should be happy by instead I was too emotional.They had a desert Joey always eat. i had my first diet coke since i came here.
I got few more booksw but Evan said that he will get me Kindle and he thinks he can uunload Japanese books also. Is he right? HE DOES NOT THING it is more USA-Kindle. should I go ahead and get it?I have too have book in ny hand all the time.
Joey and Tim give me you input of me getting kidle. and tell dad what you think.

Dearest family and friends,
Yesterday we were supposed to go to the temple at 6:00pm with Danouvia and Adriano but they were stuck in the traffic so they could not. I was ready by3:30 and you know how much I hate being late. So I told Evan, lets go anyway so we went to 8:00 session. I really don't like to go that late but Patty and her husband were there so Evan was so happy. Brother Camargo who was the first Stake President in Brasil was there with his wife. I love that old man!!!!
We met so many of our friends from our ward. We also met a new temple missionary from las Vegas.
Today Evan came back after lunch but he did not go back to the office. Since Monday is another holiday, he said no one was at the office.
I am so glad to hear that Scooter is doing better. I put his name on the prayer roll. I was so worried about him that I dreamed that I was at the Vet with him. And I was getting bad headach during the night so I was asking Vet to give me a shot to relieve the pain!!!
Well Danouvia is coming over again to stay here tonight. I just have to accept and get used to it.
Well I hope all is well!!! We still hear fire crackers all day long.
Also one of our elevator is broken AGAIN!!! And they are making horrible sound drilling something!!!
It sure does not help my headach
Half of the time our elevator does not work and even our office only one elevator works. They told us that a guy might come to fix our phone today but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO he did not. I am not surprised!

Dearest family and friends,
Fireworks and yellings lasted all night and appearantly Sao Paulo won so I still hear the loud fireworks all day long.
I guess it is a biggest thing!!!
We are just getting ready to leave for the temple and waiting for Adreana and Danuvia to come by. I am sure it will be nice and quiet there.
Joey and Amy, how is Scooter doing? I am so worried about him. How old is he? How long do they usually live?Take him to the Vet!
I hope he is OK.

Dearest family and friends,
Another beautiful day!
Tonight they are having a big big succor games so from this morning around 6:00am ,we hear fire works all day long. ( It is July 4th so I guess I feel like I am back home!!! Not really! I am just saying!) We did eat watermelon at the office. just a little celebration!! They were so good!But their fireworks are not the pretty ones. They are just big big noise! Sounds like gun shooting!
The game does not start until 10:00pm and everybody is saying not to go out tonight.
Evan was supposed to go out with Elders but he is not going. They say the traffic is going to be horrable.
Today I was supposed to help Evan at the office but most of the time, his computer was not working! You know how much he hates microsoft, ward!!! He was quite frastrated.
Tomorrow Danouvia, Adreana and we are going to the temple. Since I cannot do two things in one day, I will not go to the office and go to the temple instead. Danouvia is not staying over night tonight.
She is going to friends house.
Joey and Amy's animal, Scooter is sick. Please pray for him. (Sugar glider) He is so friendly and so cute!!! They just lost the cutest Prairie dog so my heart is heavy. Please pray for him! I have been so sad about them. That is the worst thing about having animals. They do die!

Dearest family and friends,
Another new week started.
Evan is going to have a long meeting this afternoon so he has nothing to do for me today. He usually check around if anybody needs any help of me. But he said no.
So I stayed home.
Daunouvia stayed at our house last night again but I am not sure if she will stay with us tonight. It is not that easy to have someone other than family stay with us in this small apartment.
well, i hope I will have something to do tomorrow at the office. Usually Wed and Fri I help Sister Scadden.

Dearest family and frieds,
On Sunday, When I woke up, Evan was already gone. He wanted to go to the other ward to help this young boy who is always all by himself. So Evan left early to go to the other ward. He did not even leave a message so I had to figure out that what he did.
Then Carol called and she took me to our church.She is such a sweet girl and yes, she speaks perfect English.
I was so tired and had another headach so wanted to go to bed early. But Danouvia and Adreana came by and she stayed at our house. She is having some kind of trouble with her mom.
Today was Monday and not a busy day at all. Helped Evan and Elder and Sister Scadden as usual.
Well, We might have to go to our Family HomeEvening meeting. Becuse one couple is leaving home this Thursday.
I miss and love you tons.
